Pinterest’s 410 Townsend office serves as a campus addition to their SF SOMA Headquarters. Brereton updated the existing brick and timber build-out with new light fixtures, finishes and AV to give their employees a sense of connection and familiarity to the larger Pinterest HQ offices. A gradient of finishes visually separates the array of collaborative areas across the open office. A variety of lighting, art, branding and furniture reinforces the collaborative intent of the office and creates distinct microclimates across the open floor plate. The upper floors function as an open workspace with multiple conference rooms, break out areas and lounges for collaboration. The communal ground floor acts as a gathering place with a reception, training center and all-hands/dining room for all employees. Adjacent to the all-hands, a film studio for creating content and a maker workshop for employee’s use were provided as new campus wide amenities.
